I receive a 'Crystal Reports' error when I run
TracReturns v2.0.0 or later - what do I do?

Download and install the 'Crystal Reports' distribution
package - click here to download it.

Does  TracReturns support SMTP?

Yes.  In version v1.6.9, a SMTP option was added.
To setup, go to the Maintenance/Configuration screen.
Enable Emails by checking the checkbox on the left
side of screen towards the bottom.  Under Email Options,
select SMTP - then enter a server (ex: mailout.srvrname.com).
Then enter a user name and password - which is usually the
email address (ex: paulc@abccorp.com) and its password.
Most email servers require Authentication - so check the
              Authenticate checkbox.

Does TracReturns, TracEquipment, and TracVisitor
run under Microsoft Vista?
Yes.  However, you need to install .NET Framework Version 1.1
and .NET Framework Version 1.1 Service Pack 1.
access Microsoft's download page for .NET.

Also, you need to turn off User Account Control.

What is the default user name and password to run
the demo?
The default user name is "admin" and the default password
              is
"admin".

What label/badge printers does TracVisitors support?
At this time, TracVisitors supports the "Dymo LabelWriter 400".
TracVisitors may work with other label printers, but Mustang
Technologies has not tested TracVisitors with other printers.

When running TracReturns or TracEquipment, I
cannot see the buttons on the bottom of the screen.
What do I do?

TracReturns and TracEquipment were designed to run on
computers with a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher.

In TracReturns V 1.4.5 and TracEquipment V1.1.6, support for
800x600 screen resolution was added.  However, to see the buttons
on the bottom of the screens,
you must click on the MAXIMIZE button - then use the scrollbars.
The MAXIMIZE button is located to the left of the EXIT button on
the Windows screen. The EXIT button is located in the upper right
hand corner of MOST screens in Windows.  The EXIT button has
the symbol "X" on it.  If you have a problem or a question, please
notify us by sending an email to
 Paul@MustangTechnologies.com.

I just downloaded TracReturns (applies to TracEquipment and TracVisitors too) and I tried to install it but my computer will not start the installation process.  What do I do?
The installation packages for TracReturns, TracEquipment, and TracVisitors are
zipped files.  After downloading the installation package, you must unzip the
installation package and run the "SETUP.EXE" file.  Most computers have the
program to unzip files, however if you do not have an unzip program, you can
download it from our Products webpage.

Note: If you plan to download multiple products from the Mustang website, we
suggest that you unzip the contents of software product to separate folders
because both installation packages have a SETUP.EXE program - and you will
overwrite a copy of the SETUP.EXE if you unzip both packages to the same folder.

If you have a problem or a question, please notify us by sending an email to
             Paul@MustangTechnologies.com.

Will Mustang software products run on Windows computers outside the US?
Yes - but you may need to change a few currency values.  TracReturns expects
the decimal to be "."  In some countries, the decimal symbol is "," - and TracReturns
cannot process a decimal or currency value using the "," as the decimal position.
Windows XP allows you to customize your decimal symbol.

If you have a problem, please notify us by sending an email to
            Paul@MustangTechnologies.com.

Once I get my "Registration Key", what do I do?
After you receive the "Registration Key", start the software product as you normally
do.  On the Logon screen, there is a "Register" button.  Select the "Register" button
and you will be prompted for the "Registration Key".  After entering your registration
key, exit your software product and then re-start it - then change the company name
which is a submenu under the "Maintenance" menu.

You should keep your registration key in a safe location.  If you create a new database
or if the "Encoded Key" within the database becomes corrupt, you will need your
registration key to re-register the software product.

After purchasing a Mustang software product, how many licenses do I have?
You can use a registered version of a Mustang software product on any computer
within your company.  Mustang Technologies licenses one copy to each company.
To use a Mustang Product for another company, another license must be purchased
             from Mustang.

Mustang sells all of its products directly to the end user.

I changed the database under the configuration screen, but my data did not
change.  Why didn't my database change?
After changing the database name, you must save the new database name, exit the
software product, and then restart the software product.

I just installed a Mustang product and when I tried to run it, I was told the
database is missing or corrupt.  What do I do?

If this is the first time you are running the Mustang product, you may need to run
it twice.  Certain values are written into the database to initialize the installation.

If you moved or deleted the database, you should be prompted to select a new
            database.

If you went directly into the database and added or deleted repair records - or -
you changed the registration key directly - you will need to re-register your
             product using your "Registration Key".

I own a registered copy of a Mustang product.  Is it mandatory to subscribe to
a maintenance agreement?
Maintenance agreements are not mandatory for you to continue to use a
Mustang product - however you will not receive free updates or free support
for your product after the first year.

As a registered user of a Mustang product, you will receive free updates and
free email support for the first 12 months after your purchase date.  Before the
end of the first year, you will be given the option to subscribe to a Maintenance
Plan for your product.  If you accept and pay for the Maintenance/Support Plan,
you will continue to receive free update and free email support.  However, if
your Maintenance Agreement expires and you wish to receive free updates and/or
free email support, you must purchase a new copy of the Mustang product at its
current list price (which may be higher than the price you originally purchased for).

I just downloaded a new version of a Mustang sofware product and tried to install it.  The prompt told me to uninstall the previous version.  Will I lose my data?
No.  But it is always wise to save your database before installing a new version
of software.  As a matter of fact, you should save all your databases on a regular
             basis.

You do need to remove previous versions of Mustang software products before
installing new versions. However, the uninstall process does not remove database
             files.

After installing a new version of a Mustang product, you may need to tell the
software product where the database is located because the installation process
overwrites the configuration file which tells the software product where the
             database is located.

I just updated my version of TracReturns and when I try to save a Return
Ticket, I get a database error.  What do I do?

If you are a registered user, please contact us right away.  You should have
been given instructions for updating/upgrading to the next TracReturns version.
If you are a demo user, uninstall TracReturns, then remove TracReturns.MDB
and Empty.MDB, then reinstall TracReturns.  TracReturns should install new
             copies of the database.

How do I order a product from Mustang?

To order a product from Mustang, go to the Order web page.  There are two
methods for ordering a product from Mustang - 1) use the online ordering form
and enter your contact information and your credit card information or 2) fill out
